The ending was crazy. It was a shock for me. Winston and Julia both betrayed each others. And they both was brainwash. When they bump into each others, it was like they never knew each others. I didn't think it will end like that. What surprise me was that O'Brien made up the Brotherhood and was part of the Party. It was a set up all along. Winston and Julia both felt for it.

Exit Strategy

Quick Write:
I think the novel will end good for Winston. I think Winston will end up leaving the party. And I don't think he will be vaporize. I also think the brotherhood will take down the Party. All Winston want was to know the true and take down Big Brother.

Writing in Newspeak

Quick Write:
The underlying philosophy behind Newspeak doesn't applies to my life. If I don't have a word for something, I think about how I could say it in another way. Or I will just try to explain it by using an example to try to say the word.

If I was Winston or Julia I would join the Brotherhood. They are already against the Party so why not.  If the Party finds out they will just change their identity. So Winston or Julia won't be vaporized.

The Politics of Love

Quick Write:
With gender aside, I connect with Winston more because if I was in a society like in 1984 I will be questioning the Party as well.

Final Reflection:

Writing in Newspeak

Quick Write:
The terms from 1984, doublethink I don't remember what it means. Ministry of truth is basically anything but the truth. Big brother is like the government. The words don't mean exactly what they say, it means the opposite.

Big Brothers in the News

Quick Write:
I do think love do change some people. Some people will change but some won't. Some people would stop hanging out with they friends or family members and only hang out with their loved one. Only will pay attention to their loved one and forget about the rest of the other people in their life.
