The underlying philosophy behind Newspeak doesn't applies to my life. If I don't have a word for something, I think about how I could say it in another way. Or I will just try to explain it by using an example to try to say the word.

I don't think Winston world will occur today. People won't let the government take control of their every move. Their will be people who will stand up for themselves.
Final Reflection:
Winston Smith's and the lawyer's experience connect. The government both was in the privacy personal things. I feel like everybody gets profiled unfairly. People will assume something just by the way you look. The government should balance the right to privacy with the need for national security. Its good that they have security for just in case something bad happens. But we also need our privacy. I think that they shouldn't always be listening to our conversation, email, or text all the time. If they have proved that something is wrong then they could but if not they shouldn't be all the time in our privacy personal stuff.

Knowing what I know about the Proles and their lifestyle, I don't think no one will like to be a Party member. But the people that is part of the Party member have no choice but to be in it. If one of the Party members trying to question the Party then they will be vaporize.
Final Reflection:
The future of the society in 1984 does not depend on the Proles. The Proles won't step up to the Party. They won't wake up. It's like they are comfortable with the way they are living. The Proles don't matter to the Party nor do they exist to the Party. The Proles have their own rules. They don't use any critical thinking skills.

In other words, the proles could do whatever they want. They don't have to live like a Party member. I agree with this quote because there is evidence in the book about it. "Its a beautiful thing, the destruction of words." Words are destruction in 1984, I don't think it will be now or happen now. New words are being made but none are being destruction that I know of.

History as Construct

I don't know that everything that is being taught to me in my history class is true. The information comes from the textbook. Who ever wrote the information we don't know if they are lying or not. The information also comes from the internet. When most sites you could edit the information so thats another reason why we don't know if the information is true or not.
Final Reflection:
I still agree with the quote. The quote is: it is impossible to change history. You cannot change the past. You can't go back to the past so you cannot change history. In the book 1984 they was all control to believe the new information that they said that happen in the past when it didn't. If they didn't or even question their information, they will be vaporize. The Hate

Hate is a strong word for me. Hate is when you can't stand something or someone, not even their presence. What cause hate is when you really dislike something or something that someone did to you and you hold grudge that turn into hate. Having hate in your heart is not good. Hate is a negative thing.

The thing thats wrong with hate with a psychological perspective is that person have a fixed mindsets. People with hate in themselves will turn bad. And the hate will take over you. You won't have control of yourself. The person will be acting out.

Winston says "Nothing was your own except the few cubic centimeters inside your skull." Because in 1984 they had telescreen everywhere. Those telescreen could see what you are doing and they can also hear you if you close to it, and not a lot of noises was around you. Even in your own house they would know your ever move. So it was like nothing is yours but the few cubic centimeters inside your skull. Because they even have thought police.

Conquering the Assignments

In my argument essay I had to connived the reader. I had to make my claims strong to count out the counter claims. I feel more confident about writing a argument essay now. I learned that my claims had to be strong in order to dismissed the counter claims. The classwork assignment that help me with writing my argument essay was when we had a sheet with the claims in one side and the counter claim on the other side. It help me to organized my essay.
