Diving inside the mindsets

Quick write:
At this exact point in time I still think that we have a growth mindset. We work hard to get things done. If you don't put effort you wouldn't complete your goal. Don't give up, push through your setback. Hard work pays off.

The student I connected the most with was Carla. Carla went to school when the 1st marking period was half way done and she had to makeup all the classwork, projects, and homework. But then she started going to a program in her school everyday after school till 5:00pm and pass all her classes. I also came in late for school, I started half of the 1st marking period. And I have a lot of makeup to do. But once I get home I do the makeup and also in lunch time I go to my teacher for help. I hope that i will be able to pass all my classes like Carla did.

Final Reflection:
One way teachers can show students that they believe in their potential is by working with the student. One way teachers can cause students to feel discourage or feel like a failure is by showing the student work to others and saying that student didn't even try and will fail the class because of that test. Keep test score private.

Quick write:
The most important claim about mindset is that when you put effort you will accomplish your goal. Just like she said that intellectual skills could be cultivated through effort. The evidence is her research.

  1. Your growth mindset really shows in the effort you have put into catching up. You explained your connection to Carla so well. When you write "she said that intellectual skills..." who do you mean by "she"? Which specific research is the evidence?
I'll keep your score private and won't put it here. ;-)
