Final Reflection:
The Party was destroying words. In other words word was being destruction. The party didn't want them to express their feelings. So they will destroy words but for the people won't find out. The party is doing it for they won't think that BB is trying to control their thoughts.
Your quick write shows that you are reading and comprehending 1984. Awesome! I agree that the Party was destroying words to control people but I don't understand exactly why you say that Party is doing it "for they won't think that BB is trying to control their thoughts."
